TETTMANN.DOUST was a collaboration between Naomi Tettmann and Elke Doust from 2009-14. Together they drew upon artistic practices new and old. With an emphasis on luxurious natural fabrics (leather, silk and wool), hand-worked beading and exceptional tailoring, their garments were as much a sensation to wear as to behold. On any given day you might have found them poring over anatomical studies of birds and insects, indulging their interest in dead languages, examining microcosms, or mapping fractals, all with the intention of translating their lessons into sophisticated, exquisite and wearable art.
